Teach Soap

Since I made my Spots! batch 4 weeks ago we decided to try a bar and see how it is... we love it! I'm so proud of myself hehe The wait is SO worth the reward!

Is this the first time you've been able to use your bars? Or is it only a particular bar you haven't used? The first time I used a homemade bar I LOVED IT!!! and I won't be going back!!!

There's no going back now!

Its the first time I've ever used one of my home made bars (aside from MP bars). It smells so nice, and the ITP swirls are extra pretty!

Not only is it great to use that first bar, but to this day I delight in sharing my creations with family and friends. My mom, who gets a bar from each batch, is currently on soap overload! She recently said to me " it would not be so bad if they did not last so long" -
go figure??? She is still getting more soap this coming month !

I used one of my rebatched soaps last night. I have used a couple of my first batches before, and they were ok, but last night's batch was like "ooooooh yeeeeeeah". I don't know why, but I went into the shower expecting it to have no bubbles, or be like trying to wash with that Nivea Tub cream. Not sure if you guys have it there, but it's moisturiser as thick as cement and horrible to rub in. I have no idea why I expected the soap to be like that lol.

I was actually shocked when not only was it just like normal soap, but it had bubbles and everything!! Was just plain GM soap - the one I rebatched after the top hid all the spots. LOVED it!!

Well with rebatch you can add a specific skin loving oil or additives and not have the lye 'eat it up'. Maybe this is why the 'french milled' soap became so popular. My first rebatch was not so good, the second better - so if I ever have to do this again (no doubt!) maybe the 3rd will be excellent.

I love trying my own soaps. I get all excited when it is ready to test a new bar. I can't get enough.
