Teach Soap

does anyone on here have/use the bb iphone app/calculator? do you like it? anyone know if they are going to come out with a new one?

The SOAP App on the iPhone has a notes section, does Liquid Soap and CP soap calculations for SAP value, allows for grams and ounces, saves recipes, and allows you to email them to yourself.

There are no plans to come out with a new iPhone app right now but we did just put the Android App in for approval and hope to have that for sale shortly.

I use it and I LOVE it. I use several different formulas for different products and it automatically calculates and then stores that info for you. If you have an iPhone I would HIGHLY recommend this program. If they ever do a future update all I'd ask for is a water discount calculator built in, and if possible a mold size calculator where you could figure out the general amount of soap needed for a specified mold size. Also, and I do realize that this is a soap app, it would be nice if there was a section for my own formulation for bath bombs, etc so that I have all my info in one spot.

Whoever did this app for them did an excellent and very professional app. Again, get it, I can't imagine you'd be disappointed with it's performance. Now I need to get to the app store and rate it a 5 star!

I purchased the i phone app but had no idea that you could save AND e-mail recipes to yourself. That is the one thing that I am overwhelmed with ... figuring how to save and organize recipes. I seem to find a lot of recipes on the web but don't have time to write them down and then can't locate them again or forget where they were posted. I had started using software for "food" recipes but it's not working so well. I can't wait to try the app again.

I have the app but am ashamed to say I haven't used it much.

Will have to set aside some time to dig deeper into it. Although that part about setting aside some time might just be easier said than done. On top of being a soap, knitting, books, movies, organizing, cleaning, generally obsessive, annoying teen spawn & spouse etc junkie...I'm a tech junkie too.

But, since I'm also a manic insomniac and it's 1am & I have nothing else going on, now might just be the perfect time! I'd rather be soaping but when you live in a loft with no walls, stick blending at 2am tends to be frowned upon by those who can sleep.

Off to explore the app. Will try to remember to review it (i think the insomnia is slowly eating holes in the remembering portion of my brain). Although, I remember enough at the moment to ask if a larger iPad/tablet version could be considered some time soon in the future (pretty please). : )
