My friend is requesting me to make soaps that helps itchy eczema skin. Any suggestion on soap recipe or EO that is beneficial? Thanks!

I would go for pure castille with no scent added.

He loves tea tree and lavender. Are those EO ok with eczema?

Yes, I agree. Give her a castille. I personally find EOs can irritate when there is an existing skin problem.

I would not use either at this point.

Just a thought that your friend may be able to tollerate some things more then others with the same problem.

My daughter had eczema really bad as a small child, but since using handmade soap, she hasn't had any patches for about 3 years now. Not sure exactly why, but she can tollerate my soap with sweet almond, coconut, shea, sunflower and palm and can tollerate all the FO and EO's that I use with no problem. I only do lightly scented soaps, only natural coloring, so maybe that is also key in her success story.

Good luck finding something that helps your friend! :P
