If you need to get Lye in large volumes I just found a great place for those in or near El Paso TX area.

The name is Baron Chemical Co.

They have the Lye in flakes, granules, and liquid. They start at around $48 for 50 pounds.

That's a good price! Be careful of the liquid. It's most likely diluted and might not be strong enough for soapmaking. I find the flakes easier to use as the beads can get staticky and jump all over.

Congrats!
Make sure that your lye is stored in a very dry place. If moisture gets to it, it will start to solidify and will loose its effectiveness.
