I picked up some of this (about 3 pounds) from a soapmaker who was selling all their stuff. All they told me was that it's used to "boost lather."

Can someone instruct me how it's used please. It's in a powder form. Do you ad it at trace as a powder, mix it with lye mixture, add to oils when melted?? Also, what usage rates should I apply if I choose to use this stuff with CP.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's not meant to be used in handmade soap. Some people use it in bath products. I prefer sodium lauryl sulphoacetate.

I use it, just through experimentation I found in cp it retards gell. I don't wrap my cp soap. I add sls, one or two tsps per lb around the same time I add the fragrance

A properly formulated handmade soap should not need this ingredient. You might as well buy the bar at the grocery store.

After I weighed this stuff I have exactly 1 pound. It's free to anybody who wants to pay for shipping. I hate to waste stuff. My PM feature doesn't work and I don't know who to contact to get it fixed. So if you want it post a reply here and I'll give you my email. Paypal the shipping costs and it's yours. It's from BB and is still sealed in original container with label. I only make CP so I have no use for it.
