I make hot process soap in the crock pot. I can only make one batch at a time in my 6 quart pot. I'd like to make double batches to save time. Has anyone ever used those extra large roasters (like an 18 quart Nesco roaster)? I thought about trying to make soap in a large pot on the stove but I really don't want to make it in the kitchen. I have my soaping crock pot in a different room on a stainless table.

What about a turkey roaster? Some people use it to melt a large quantity of MP soap.

BTW. Hot process soap needs the same amount of cure time as CP. HP speeds up the saponification, but not the cure.
Curing is more then just water evaporation and a harder bar.
The crystalline structure changes as the soap cures, making for a milder soap. I cure all my soaps for 4-6 weeks.
