I'm getting more confident with my soaping and have mostly avoided any flower fragrances after honeysuckle fragrance oil froze my first attempt before I could pour it. But I have just got some BB ylang-ylang essential oil and decided to try it. Using medium fragrance via the call at or and making coconut oil soap at 20 % super fat the addition of the EO did accelerate the mixture a lot luckily I had been cautious and was o ly doing a one color pour I to square molds but the last few pours were gloopy.

So I checked the Bramble Berry site again and the tip was to mix equal amounts of oil to the EO which helps slow down this acceleration which I can do next time but are there any other tips to help slow this down?

I was soaping at 110 to 115.

I add my scent to the cooled off oils before adding the lye water. I go by the feel of my hands outside the pot or lye pitcher. I would say it's right around 110 degreesUS.

When a scent seizes or rices in soap let it! Then let it go to gel right in the soap pot. When it's in full gel, stir very well, then glop into your mold.
Worst case scenario; hot process it.
