Fragrance can change the recipe. The lye also takes whatever it wants. There is no guarantee that any particular oil or butter will end up as your superfat. I don't go above 20% coconut oil as I find anything higher drying to my skin. I use castor in my recipe and it lathers well.

I presume that the shea is at 5% and the castor at 1?

You have
05% - Shea butter
01% - Castor

You can definitely go higher on the castor. 2-3% is good.

yeah..sorry.. 05 in my head is 5% lol

On my charcoal facial bars I use 5% Castor oil.

My next batch of regular soap bars, I will try 20% CO and 3% Castor.. that sounds amazing.. specially with 47% OO.
