My lye water is cloudy. Not sure if it is residue from being washed by hand with oily equipment or if it is because I am using a floral water as part of my liquid. Do I toss and start over or is it ok to use if I run it through fine strainer?

If you washed your lye pitcher with soap and water, it's the soap residue. Wash your lye pitcher only with lots of water.
I would run it through a strainer, but it still might end up cloudy.
