Has anyone used frankincense tears (granules) in CP soap? A friend brought me some from morocco -- it looks like rock salt -- and I would love to incorporate it into my soap. it turns gummy when moist, so I'm afraid that if I sprinkle on top, it will become gummy and sticky. I'm afraid if i grind and put some in the soap it will be too rough (also concerned about gumminess here). Has anyone ever infused their oil with it for making soap? Would love any idea on how I can use this special gift in my christmas soap.

Infusion in your base oil (like olive) would work the best. You can speed up the infusion by putting the oil and the frankincense tears into a crock pot on low for 3-4 hours. Strain, then use the infused oil in your soap.

Putting it on top of soap and then letting the piece or pieces down the drain could clog your drain. The pieces will also be sticky from the water in the shower or the moisture from the bathroom.

Grinding it and using it in soap, you would end up with sticky parts of soap.
