Teach Soap

Hi, can anyone tell me your preferences, pros, cons, between a slab mold, or log mold. I'm looking at a ten pound log mold or a 15 to 20 lb slab. Clearly the size is different but I'm curious what others on here prefer? Slab can produce more bars depending on how large the mold is but I've seen some career soapers who make about 30 pounds a day still use the log molds. Any thoughts on that? I currently have two individual 5 pound log molds but in a big batch I would have to go through the hassel to measure my trace to divide it up.

I prefer log molds. I make up to 20 lb. batches at a time and they are easier to move and I have a Tank that cuts the logs neatly into bars.

I was leaning in that direction. Plus with a slab mold you than need an addition piece of equipment, a log cutter.

I use mostly log molds, but I love the different swirls and designs I can do in a slab mold.
