I know this may seem like a small thing but I look at some handcrafted soaps and their edges are really sharp and square. I don't know if it has to do with the type of mold or not. My mold is wood from BB and I line it with freezer paper. I used to line it with the rubber molds but those peeled back so often that I abandoned them. However, not even those bars had such sharp, square edges. I do trim my soap a little but that's not even the issue. I can tell some soapers are doing something different. What do you guys think?

Silicone molds can give you those sharp edges. I prefer to bevel them off.

I typically use loaf molds with silicone liners and I get crisp edges.

However, I also prefer beveled, smoother edges. If the soap isn't beveled it takes one or two uses before it feels comfortable to me. :D
