Can someone explain to me how the wholesale process works? If you sell wholesale to a store, how do you receive your profit? Does the store give you a percentage of what they sell your product for from they're retail? I'm confused. I have a chance to put my soaps/scrubs/bath bombs in a country boutique and have no idea how much to charge. And I'm pretty sure the owner doesn't either since this is her first shop. I'm in th valley or Northern California where people balk at high priced items. Now I know if I were in the Bay Area I wouldn't have a problem selling my products at my price point. :/

You need to find your raw cost, your wholesale cost and retail cost. You want to make sure that you are making a profit.
I have a minimum wholesale order and reorder. They pay me up front including shipping.
I won't do consignment. This is when you send your products and you get paid when the product sells.
I've had theft problems, inventory problems (store's fault) and destroyed products with consignment.
I prefer wholesale as I get paid up front and the store owner can then do what they want with the products. They are theirs.

So..if u sell them at yoir wholesale cost your not making a profit. But if you sell them at retail you obtain a profit. But they can charge the consumer whatever they want. Am I correct?

I sell wholesale to still make a profit.
