Hi, I was just trying to find out a couple things about colloidal oatmeal and adding tit to CP soap. Do you add 5% to the toal finished wiegth of your soap, or the weight of the oils? Also when would you add it and how? Would you dilute it in the water and add it with the lye?

Thanks!

Add it as soon as you reach trace and whisk it in, so it stays suspended. Do you have true colloidal oatmeal or just finely ground oats?

I have colloidal oatmeal I bought from BB. Do I dilute it in water or oil first or just add it as a powder at trace? And does the 5% recommendation mean 5% of the weight of the total batch when made?

Thanks!

There is no need to dilute it in anything. Add it at trace and mix well. I use up 1 Tablespoon per lb. of soap. 5% would be too much.
