With Christmas coming up I am looking to treat myself with some more molds and a wire soap cutter. I am looking at getting this mold however I CPOP all my soap and was wondering if this would be suitable for that. I know it says the silicone is oven safe however I am more worried about the wood box. I believe I read somewhere that wood soap molds that are glued are not a good idea to use in the oven. http://www.nurturesoapsupplies.com/soap ... icmmpjD_IU. If not can someone suggest a double log silicone lined mold that will be? Also looking at the wire soap cutter from soapmaking resource http://www.soap-making-resource.com/wir ... utter.html. Does anyone have this one? I have 2 of their wood mold and have been very happy with them but wish they offered silicone liners for them.

Do you definitely want a wooden mold? I love my HDPE molds from Soap Hutch. Rich will work with you to get the size you need. They can go in the oven or the freezer. They are a bit more expensive but I love them and have never had a leak. Sounds like you will have a Merry Christmas!

I would prefer the wood. I looked at the no line acrylic molds on soapmaking resource but I a not trying to splurge that much :shock:

I haven't tried acrylic. I would still get a quote from Rich at Soap Hutch just in case. He's great to work with. The only silicone lined wooden log molds I've got are the ones from BB. I recently HPOP'ed with the 5 lb wooden log with silicone liner and had no problems but it isn't glued only.

I love Carrie's (Nurture Soap Supplies) molds. I have two of the 9 inch ones and they are my go to molds. Haven't had any problem with putting them in a 170 degree oven.
