Teach Soap

My evoo is very dark and my soap is very yellow. Will using td make my bars white? Also can I use td and a color such as ultra marine blue in the same batch. The yellow soap turns my blue to green. One more question please. Walmart has an oo that is not extra virgin and it is much lighter in color. G.V. brand. Is this oil as good as evoo?

Anytime you have oils that are yellow and you whiten them with TD, the final color might still be green. Yellow + blue = green.
Take a look at the GV brand and make sure that it's 100% olive oil and not a blend.

EVOO tends to be a darker green. Assuming you don't use a discoloring/strongly colored fragrance/essential oil or other darker oil, if you use olive oil that is golden in color like Grade A, the soap will be lighter and more like cream or ivory. Adding TD will make it whiter. I use golden olive oil mostly. Pomace, the lowest grade, is also a little darker and it can accelerate trace. If you use LabColors, the ones designed for use with olive oil are supposed to help compensate for the darker green olive oil color.
