Hi, I want to try a milk soap receipe this time but goat's milk is not easily available at my place. Do I need to take any special care if i'm making soap with cow's milk?

Not a milk soap expert, but yes you can.

Where do you live? You should be able to find canned goat's milk at a local health food store or Whole Foods. The Publix near me carries it in their "Greenwise" section.

If you have never made milk soap before, I recommend starting out with canned or powdered milk. I use the "milk in oil" method. I dissolve the lye in a reduced amount of water. When my oils have melted and are between 100-110 degrees, I add the can of milk. By canned milk, I mean evaporated, NOT sweetened condensed milk!

Some soapers add the milk to the lye. I have never had this go well for me!

I'm from India, and we do get goat's milk here but its not easily available. We are more into cow's milk ;)
Noted your point, and may be i'll try canned milk or milk powder. Will post my results.

If you use canned milk, make sure that you use either regular milk or that you add 1/2 water (distilled) if you use condensed milk. Double check your can......don't ask me how I know this
