Hi All
When you are using frozen milks in cp do you guys measure the amt of milk for each recipe and freeze in ice cube trays or fill the ice cube trays and measure the needed amt after?? Is one way better or easier than the other??

I am lazy and don't really plan ahead, so I freeze it in cubes and then measure. If I need more liquid, I would top off with a bit of water. But, I try to fill the ice cube tray at varying heights so that I get cubes of different weights.

I generally only make one size recipe so I measure the amount needed and then freeze it in plastic containers. Then when I want to use milk, all I have to do is grab a container from the freezer and dump it into my stainless bowl and add lye.

i have frozen goat milk in the freezer is it ok to use if its past the expiration date

If your milk was good, within date, when you you froze it, it is fine to use it if it is past the expiration date when you get it out, assuming that it has not sat in the freezer for more than 6 months. And if it is not properly stored in the freezer, it may not be good no matter how long its been in there. I toss anything with freezer burn, without consideration of a time frame. And you should always date everything you put into the freezer (most food, properly insulated and stored, can be safely kept a year).
