I was splitting a batch of CP soap and while working on the first batch I left my second batch sitting and had not put fragrance in yet. I checked on it to see how it was doing because the one I was working on was getting really thick. This one was really thick so I thought I'd better put the fragrance in and when I did it wouldn't incorporate. Is there anything I can do to save this batch that is now floating in FO? Looks like I could literally pour off the FO.

I soaped at 95F oils/100F lye water. Recipe is one I always use: OO, CO, PO, AO (sweet), lye, DW. This is the first time I've soap at a lower temp. I usually soap at 120F. The first half of batch was thick, but ok.

Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA

Nothing to do now but pour off the FO and HP it. I soap at 100 and add my FO's into my oils first and get them incorporated good before I add my lye water. I have also found that once I hit medium trace I had better hurry up and get it into the molds because it will go from med to thick in no time. I also do not do a water discount.

HP it. Add everything to a crockpot and cook it. Make sure you mix everything well.

Thanks, Jstar and Soapbuddy, I found a post by Annmarie for a top of the stove method (before you two made your suggestions). We'll see how it turns out.
