Hi, I've been reading the posts on using well & hard water. I understand that mineral contaminants can affect the saponification process. My question: I use "PUR" filtered water. I've not had any issues YET. What are your thoughts on using filtered water? Thanks a bunch.....Uuma

I use filtered water all the time and have never had a problem.

I always use distilled because I'm in a very hard water area and have well water.

I too have well water, and even a brita can't make it good LOL So I use only distilled water.
