Teach Soap

I make a shea butter bar using approximately 30% shea butter.
I do not like the fragrance I am presently using: Sandalwood FO,
Patchouli and Lime EO's. Any suggestions for a shea butter bar?
Appreciate your help.

I like the bar of soap, although it is expensive to make, it is quite luxurious. The Oils I use are Olive Oil, Babassu Oil, Avocado Oil, Palm Kernel Oil. Its a very nice bar for dry skin in the winter. But I do not like the scent.

You can really use any FO or EO you want to that works in CP. I think I'm confused on the question, it wouldn't be the first time

I use mostly raw shea butter that has a smoky scent. I want to know what would be a good scent,
eo mix, or fragrance oil to go with the shea butter. Thanks.

Im certainly not an expert on scents, but its beauty is in that of the user...what you do not like I may think is wonderful.

My suggestion is that with the 'smokiness' of the shea butter you may want to go along in that direction. try vetiver, black pepper, lemon grass, problem is that would probably be fine for me...

What is your goal in the scent...just something nice? or something different but pleasant?

You could also go into the conifer scent; pine, fir, cypress.

Or go with the Sandalwood, Patchouli and add some Vanilla or Amber.

Thanks for your suggestions. I will experiment with the
black pepper and vetiver, and also the one with the lemongrass added.
The spicy one with clove, ginger (I like spice)

gardenia works well if you keep it light -- it lets the shea butter scent come through, but makes it a bit sweeter somehow. patchouli and fir needle also work well, alone or together. also ylang, myrrh, cinnamon, and sandalwood blend.
