I have only been making soap from scratch for about a year. I usually make hot process simple recipes with olive, coconut, palm, avocado, castor, and rice bran oils in differing amounts so I can see what qualities the different concentrations of oils make. I have been reading about making goats milk soap, and honey soap, but have only come across recipes for cold process. Has anyone used the hot process method with honey or goats milk, or even both? I'd love to make a batch with both honey and goats milk and maybe some oatmeal that I can have ready by January, but I'm wondering if making them in the crock pot will scorch the soap.

Thanks!

You can, but use the honey in small amounts and sub part of your water for milk. Cook on low and keep an eye on it. It will darken due to the honey and milk. When the soap is the consistency of mashed potatoes, you can glop it in your mold.
