Teach Soap

Pardon the awkwardly phrased question, but at what stage of trace should the layers be poured?

I tried one last night, and the lower layers wouldn't support the weight of the upper, so I got a Not Hanger Swirl, I guess.

In the past, if I've done layered soap, I wanted distinct layers, nothing swirled. But I know if I wait too long, the soap will be too thick to swirl.

So, where's that happy median?

I use a light trace and pour over a spoon if necessary. Medium trace makes the pouring easier but is a problem swirling. Good luck!
